Rail
Train maintenance and modernisation underlines the technical aspect that is already significant within this industry. As a result, optimising the flow of goods and people is essential to guarantee sufficient profitability to support these changes.
The challenges of logistics and profit

OPTIMISING THE SUPPLY CHAIN
Just like the aerospace sector, rail is characterised by the amount of throughput. It is important to be able to track wagon movements and their components in order to optimise logistics.

MANAGING MAINTENANCE COSTS
The complexity of maintenance can lead to a train being removed from service, and therefore it cannot generate a profit. It is important to track the parts used for maintaining each wagon.

STURDY EQUIPMENT
To maintain equipment and personnel safety, equipment used inside the wagon, just like outside, must be able to withstand exogenous conditions such as dust, water, temperatures, etc.
Solutions designed for harsh environments
Drawing on 15 years of aerospace experience, MAINtag has proven its excellence, in particular by achieving the ATA SPEC 2000 standard, one of the most stringent on the market.
Today, we want the other transport industry sectors to make the most of our expertise.

FLYtag skin
A flexible & engravable tag, compatible with any material
The FLYtag skin, available in three different sizes, is both flexible and engravable. The tag can stick perfectly to curved surfaces. It can be laser engraved to add hard-wearing visual information.
In fact, FLYtag Skin tags are extremely sturdy in terms of their adhesion and they can withstand harsh external factors. They can still operate in extreme temperatures (-50°C to 180°C) and can therefore be used safely on different continents. They have also been designed to withstand contact with most corrosive products. The FLYtag skins are compatible with any material.
This range is therefore perfect for use inside or outside the wagon. In particular, we recommend it for identifying vehicles and wagons.

FLYtag nano
With its small size, this tag is ideal for tracking maintenance

The FLYtag and Flytag nano solutions can maintain and centralise your operations monitoring and provide assured traceability for the entire service life of the respective equipment, namely more than 30 years.
With a 14mm diameter, the FLYtag nano is one of the smallest solutions on the market and can therefore be attached to tiny metal surfaces.
These advantages make it the perfect partner for monitoring maintenance equipment.
Wet inlay
RFID labels for indoor application
Wet inlay labels are designed to be used inside. They identify the equipment and have a free field for writing.
Less expensive than RFID tags, labels are ideal for marking parts with a limited service life. However, they are not compatible with conductive surfaces.

Choose a supervision solution to enhance your logistics network
MAINtag offers you a whole range of RFID tags whose quality and strength have been demonstrated time and again. These solutions can record all completed maintenance operations, creating a comprehensive history, with no manual errors and that links directly to the respective part.
Our solutions can be customised to fit seamlessly with your projects.
